Mark Leeson fans were in for a treat when he took to the stage in London and Glasgow as part of Goldwell’s Regeneration Tour. The tour was hosted by colour house Goldwell’s Head of Creative Direction, William Wilson, who interviewed Mark as he presented five models which were all speedy and stylish transformations. Looks included a stunning updo with a modern twist and a funky cropped androgynous look with a short undercut. Overall hair was full of texture, with plenty of movement, and as you’d expect from the man who’s been dubbed the kind of colour, the collection was all about stunning colour.

“I’ve been hairdressing for 27 years and everything I do is still based on the basic techniques that I learnt in my training. Everything has a modern twist, but without the traditional techniques you can’t create best possible work,” he said.

Colour was a major focus in all five models and showcased Goldwell’s new Colorance perfectly. It demonstrated how hair is left in great shine and condition, with incredible colour depth. For Mark, this season is all about seamless colour. “I’m not into block colour right now, it’s all about seamless colour that just flows beautifully,” he says.

His collection included a stunning cherry red bob, a long copper updo and an immaculately clean blonde that he used to create an editorial avant garde look. “There’s no short or long haircut at the moment that’s the look of the season – it’s all about very personalised haircuts right now.”
